Paper model of detail

This is a paper model examining the weavings of the detail of the dense spaghetti-like weaving that blocks the light layer-by-layer. In this photo I'm trying to show how a large beam of light is split and diminished into smaller beams, a literal perspective on the idea of translucency. The light also 'weaves' its way through the gaps and reflects off the surfaces to end up forming these small beams, which what makes the cross-hatching woven detail of the structure so significant in reducing the light and creating abstract patterns
